Therapists' Profiles
Amy Okrepkie, Owner, LMT, Reiki Master
"I just love what I do!"
I am licensed in Connecticut and New York and trained in pregnancy, Swedish, deep tissue, Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy, sports, hot stone, infant, canine and aromatherapy massage. I am also trained to do reiki, manicures, pedicures, body waxing, body wraps and sunless tanning.
Originally a Bachelor's of Science in Sales and Marketing from Bentley College, I worked in the field in both New York City and Stamford, Connecticut. I enjoyed marketing, but disliked the idea of pushing papers around to sell products to clients that they don't need. I decided I wanted to help people and be more satisfied with what I was doing for a living. So I went to work at Starbucks for two and a half years to put myself through massage school and to create a dream.
I started the Healing Touch back in 1999 on the second floor above Dr. Mikes Ice Cream Shop in Monroe, Connecticut with a sign, a phone, a table, a big room and a lot of hope. Now we've progressed to Trumbull in a beautiful 1800's built house. I saw the house and it just felt so good and peaceful. Believe it or not the house just felt happy. The house has made us very happy. I invite you to please stop in for a visit and sit on the front porch with a cup of tea. And now I would like to introduce you to the rest of The Healing Touch staff:
